Bobby Abreu Decides To Swing A SSK Bat.

12-year veteran slugger Bobby Abreu from Venezuela has been switching around various bats for many years. He finally found the right one from SSK. Bobby started using a SSK bat last August when he received complimentary bats from a company representative in New York. He really loved the feel and balance of his SSK maple bats and was very impressed with the quality and craftsmanship.

The 6'foot-210 lb left-handed hitterfs favorite bat specification is 34.5"-32 oz. solid black color crafted out of rock hard maple grown in Pennsylvania. Bobby Abreu likes the Silver SSK signature bullet logo, which was designed to represent the shape of the gSh in the SSK logo, and also exemplifies the speed and strength of SSK products and the forward thinking philosophy of the company.

The 33-year-old outfielder played for the New York Yankees last year and earned a career high 123 runs scored, while also recording 101 runs batted in as the number three hitter for the Yankees. Bobby hit 40 doubles, 5 triples and 16 round trippers. Abreu will return to New York in 2008 under, new skipper, Joe Girardi.

We are very pleased that Bobby joins SSKfs staff of Professional Advisors for the first time in many years as an offensive player. Abreu is the third Venezuelan player to join SSK's staff, signing after Omar Vizquel (SS-SF Giants) and Jose Lopez (2B-Seattle Mariners). SSK wishes him well in the 2008 season, seeking to help bring a World Series Ring to the New York Yankees for the first time since 2001.
