Pablo Sandoval makes history as first player to sport a pink fielding glove in a MLB game |
SSK advisory member and SF Giants third baseman, Pablo Sandoval, was proud to use an SSK pink ball glove in a game against the NY Mets at Citi Field on May 9th, Mother's Day.
Mr. Sandoval wore the glove as a tribute to both his mother and mothers everywhere and the encouragement they give their children. Pablo states, "I did not hesitate when I was shown the pink glove, it was something I knew right away I wanted to use in the game"
The pink glove matched the specifications of Pablo's regular glove, a 12" solid black leather palm and back mesh with Double-T web and open back. Both Mr Sandoval and the glove performed well during the game, catching several drives from Met's sluggers and earning the Giants a number of outs.
The whole team at SSK salutes mothers everywhere, and Mr. Sandoval for the special attention he gave them on their special day.
