Kyozo Sasaki, the founder of SSK, established a sporting goods shop in Shimogyo-ku, Kyoto, Japan.

The first SSK brand baseball uniform was manufactured in collaboration with an experienced sewing factory.

1956 (March)
SSK devloped a revolutionary 3-D pattern for unifomrs. This concept allowed for extra room in the armhole thus maximizing movement for the player.

1959
Singed Minoru Murayama, a right handed pitcher (Hanshin Tigers / Hall of Famer) as an advisory staff. This was the first time a Japanese Sporting Goods Company had made a contract with a professional player.

Sponsored "Asunaro Baseball Tournament" for under-privileged children. SSK pioneered this type of tournament in the industry.

1967 (February)
Nickname of "One Point" wood bat was developed SSK logo in sweet spot of the bat.

After years of studying human technologies, the "SB Shoes" was developed.

1975 (March)
Invented "All Point" aluminum bat, allowing hitters to make better visual contact with the ball.

1975 (September)
Sasaki Industry Co., Ltd., 100% owned by SSK, was established in Takefu, Fukui Prefecture for manufacturing SSK Sportswear exclusively.

1976
The SS Line shoes symbolizing "Faster, Higher & Robust" was developed. The distinguished line construction served to strengthen upper parts of shoe. The SSK trade mark was registered in USA, Germany, UK and France.

1977 (May)
The "DUS Point Shoe" was developed. An ultra light (50% lighter than traditional shoes) yet extra-ordinary durable baseball shoe. This series was long time best seller with 100,000 pair annual sale for 15 years.

1978 (October)
The epoch making "Dimple-processed baseball glove" was developed. A record in baseball gloves sales history for Japan was set when one million units of "G-ONE-D" Series were sold for three years.

For the first time, SSK signed Major League baseball players adding Tommy John and Ron Cey as advisory staff members.
